From Progress to Impact: TAURUS 2nd General Assembly in Bilbao
The TAURUS consortium gathered in Bilbao on April 27–28 for its second General Assembly, marking a key moment to reflect on progress and move decisively toward implementation and impact in the European agrifood manufacturing sector.
Hosted at the B Accelerator Tower, the meeting brought together partners to align on achievements, address challenges, and define the next steps in delivering the TAURUS Talent Accelerator.
The General Assembly opened with a shared commitment to reviewing progress since the Kick-off Meeting, aligning on upcoming milestones, and reinforcing collaboration across work packages. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring coherence across technical developments, strengthening coordination, and enhancing the project’s visibility and long-term impact.

Day 1: Advancing Insights and Platform Development
The first day focused on consolidating the analytical foundations of the project while reviewing progress on the TAURUS digital ecosystem.
Discussions explored new strategies to increase engagement in surveys, a crucial element for gathering reliable data from stakeholders. Partners also engaged in a dynamic exchange on how to define and segment company profiles, ensuring that different types of organisations can be accurately represented and supported within the project.
At the same time, the consortium reviewed the latest developments of the TAURUS platform and Academy. This included progress on the website, the design of user dashboards tailored to different profiles, and the integration of training content. The conversation also addressed the portfolio of available courses and their alignment with industry needs, reinforcing the platform’s role in delivering personalised learning pathways.
The day concluded with a wrap-up session and a networking dinner in Bilbao, providing an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in an informal setting.
Day 2: From Design to Impact
Building on the previous day’s discussions, Day 2 shifted focus toward implementation, user experience, and impact.
A key topic was the development of the project’s questionnaire, which plays a central role in assessing companies and individuals. The consortium discussed in depth the type of questions to be included, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives. The questionnaire has been designed based on methodological inputs gathered in earlier phases and through a comparative analysis of similar European-level tools used to measure digital and organisational maturity.
Partners also worked on defining analytical dimensions, shaping user profiles across key variables such as digital maturity and workforce skills. These dimensions will be essential to deliver tailored recommendations and training pathways through the TAURUS platform.

Another important session focused on communication and dissemination activities. The consortium reviewed the actions carried out so far, as well as those planned for the first project period, including upcoming events aimed at engaging key stakeholders across the agrifood ecosystem. This was complemented by a collaborative brainstorming session on how to effectively achieve project KPIs and maximise impact.
Further discussions addressed the selection of training courses and the criteria for their evaluation, ensuring quality and relevance. In parallel, partners advanced the design of self-assessment tools for employees and potential employees, as well as the definition of matching criteria to connect users with the most suitable training opportunities. The introduction of a trainee survey was also discussed, aiming to better understand learners’ interests and priorities in terms of training areas.
The second General Assembly in Bilbao marked a significant step forward for the TAURUS project. By combining analytical work, technological development, and strategic planning, the consortium is steadily moving from concept to real-world impact.
With strengthened alignment, clear priorities, and a shared vision, TAURUS continues to build momentum toward empowering the European agrifood workforce and supporting the sector’s transition to Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
