Meet the partners: ECOLE DES PONTS BUSINESS SCHOOL (EPBS)

Cultivating Agrifood Talent for Industry 5.0 through Education in TAURUS

ECOLE DES PONTS BUSINESS SCHOOL (EPBS), a prestigious educational institution based in Paris, France, is a vital partner in the TAURUS project, dedicating its expertise to empowering individuals with the skills needed for the evolving agrifood sector. EPBS focuses on providing high-quality education, fostering research, and promoting sustainable development, making it an ideal leader for the “Re-skilling and Up-skilling Lab”.

EPBS leads Work Package 5, “Module 2 – The Re-skilling and Up-skilling Lab for Employees and Potential Employees”. The primary objective is to empower workers and potential employees by providing tailored training programs that enhance their skills and competencies, preparing them for Industry 4.0/5.0 roles in the agrifood sector. This ultimately aims to improve their employability and career prospects while meeting the industry’s evolving needs.

Key contributions from EPBS in TAURUS include:

  • Training Program Design: EPBS leads the design of a comprehensive training program and catalogue tailored to the needs of agrifood companies transitioning to Industry 5.0. This involves defining training objectives, topics (both vertical for Industry 5.0 technologies and horizontal for soft skills), methodologies (e-learning, simulations, workshops), and translation into multiple EU languages.
  • Matching Criteria Definition: EPBS plays a crucial role in defining the matching criteria for aligning user profiles with self-assessments, ensuring the delivery of personalized learning paths.
  • Quality-Assured Micro-credentials: The Lab will focus on increasing the supply of short programs with high employability outcomes, leading to quality-assured micro-credentials wherever possible, aligning with EQF (European Qualifications Framework) to ensure cross-border competence recognition.

Through its Circular Economy Research Center (CERC), EPBS also spearheads business model innovation, blending digitalization with sustainable circular strategies, and has a strong track record in implementing EU-funded projects. EPBS’s work ensures that the TAURUS project not only addresses immediate skill gaps but also fosters continuous professional growth and adaptability for the future workforce in the agrifood sector.
